It's not easy to sum up Trent's personality. He's addicting to be around. Trent is a very nice guy, he's sweet and he has a kind heart. He hates hurting people, and nothing pains him more than seeing a girl cry. When he sees that, especially if it's his fault (which it usually is) it breaks his heart completely. He always tries to keep peoples' best interests in mind because he really is a good guy, he just messes up a lot, and isn't very good at doing so. Trent spends most of his time trying to pick up the pieces after he screws up.
When Trent feels an emotion, he feels it magnified one hundred times more than most people feel it. Every time he's attracted to a girl, he falls in love, fast and hard. The slightest feelings for a girl makes him think he wants to marry her. And when he feels that way about a girl, he will stop at nothing to win her over, and he will treat her like a princess. Trent puts women up on a pedestal, his life revolves around the women in it. And there are always plenty of women in his life, no matter what he does.
It isn't just the feelings of love and lust that he feels strongly, it's anger too. When Trent becomes angry, he goes into a fit of rage where he really can't control himself. He tends to blow everything out of proportion and make it all into a bigger deal than it really is. When he's acting out of rage, he doesn't know his own strength, and sometimes he hurts the people around him without meaning to. Of course this just makes him work twice as hard to fix whatever he's done and right all his wrongs.

Elle was only in Manhattan on vacation, and after the party she went back to Chicago where she lived with her brother Seth and their childhood best friend Adrian.
